ATF Level Check and Replacement: Replacement

NOTE:
- How to read the torque specifications .
- Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission (e-CVT).
- Vehicle - Lift
- Engine - Warm Up
1. Enter the maintenance mode, then start the engine 2. Warm up the engine by raising the engine speed around 3, 000 rpm until the cooling fan(s) comes on.
3. Turn the engine off.
- Engine Undercover - Remove
- ATF - Drain
1. Remove the drain plug (A) with the sealing washer (B). NOTE: Be careful not to burn yourself by the hot part.
2. Drain the ATF.
3. Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer.
- ATF - Refill
1. Remove the filler plug (A) with the sealing washer (B). 2. Refill the transmission (e-CVT) with the recommended fluid through the filler plug hole (C) to the proper level (D). Always use genuine Honda ATF DW-1.
NOTE: Using the wrong type of fluid will damage the transmission (e-CVT).
Transmission Fluid (ATF) Capacity:
3.5 L (3.7 US qt) at overhaul 2.4 L (2.5 US qt) at change - All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. - Maintenance Minder - Reset
1. If the Maintenance Minder required to replace the engine oil, reset the Maintenance Minder with the gauge (see "Resetting the Maintenance Minder"). If the Maintenance Minder did not require to replace the engine oil, reset the Maintenance Minder with the HDS (see "Resetting the Individual Maintenance Items").
