Self-Diagnostic Function

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Auto High-Beam system has a self-diagnostic function. When a problem is detected by the self-diagnostic function, the Auto High-Beam stops operating, indicates the problem on the multi-information display (MID), and stores a DTC.

NOTE:  The Auto High-Beam operates while maintaining a mutual connection between the multipurpose camera unit at the control origin and the other control units (relay control module, body control unit, gauge control module, automatic lighting/rain sensor, etc.). If malfunctions occur in these control unit systems, the Auto High-Beam does not operate. At this time, warning indicator of the related control unit turn on and a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display (MID).
