Steering Column Removal and Installation: Removal: Procedure

  1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

    NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

  2. Driver's Airbag - Remove
  3. Steering Wheel - Remove 
  4. Driver's Dashboard Undercover - Remove
  5. Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover - Remove
  6. Column Cover - Remove
  7. Combination Switch Body Assembly - Remove
  8. Steering Joint - Disconnect 
  9. Steering Column - Remove

    NOTE:  Be careful not to damage the brake pedal position switch.
