Front Passenger's Airbag Removal and Installation: Removal

NOTE:

- If replacing the front passenger's airbag after deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
Removal Before the Front Passenger's Airbag Deployment
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
NOTE: Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Blower Unit - Remove
- Front Passenger's Airbag - Remove
1. Disconnect the connector (A). 2. Remove the mounting bolts (A). 3. Release the hooks (B) from the front passenger's airbag housing holes (C) of the dashboard.
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
- Take care not to damage the front passenger's airbag housing holes of the dashboard.
- Take care not to damage the front passenger's airbag.
4. Lower the front passenger's airbag and release the hooks of the engine room side, then remove the airbag from the dashboard.
Removal After the Front Passenger's Airbag Deployment
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
NOTE: Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
- Glove Box - Remove
- Front Passenger's Airbag Inflator Connector - Disconnect
1. Disconnect the connector (A). - Front Passenger's Airbag/Dashboard - Remove
