DTC B2998 (D-B7), B2998 (C5)

DTC B2998, DTC screen D-B7, or DTC screen C5  : A problem in the A/C compressor driver (A Problem in the Electric A/C Compressor Driver)

DTC (AC)

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

   -3. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS or the climate control unit .

   -4. Check for DTCs.

   B2998 A problem in the A/C compressor driver

   Is DTC B2998, Error on the DTC screen D-B7 (climate control panel without display), or DTC screen C5 (climate control panel with display) indicated?

   YES 

   Replace the electric A/C compressor .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure. Check for loose wires or poor connections on the electric A/C compressor circuit.
