DTC B1829 : AT-P signal and VSP or ESL_WHEEL signal mismatch
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Power Seat Control Unit)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Start the engine.
-3. Test drive at 6 mph (10 km/h) for 10 seconds.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1829 AT-P signal and VSP or ESL_WHEEL signal mismatch Is DTC B1829 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- DTC check
-1. Check for gauge control module DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (ATP-PBK / ATP-P line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Power seat control unit connector A (20P)
SBW shifter control module 20P connector-3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Power seat control unit connector A (20P): disconnected
SBW shifter control module 20P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power seat control unit connector A (20P) No. 1 Test point 2 SBW shifter control module 20P connector No. 14 Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
- Shorted wire check (ATP-PBK / ATP-P line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Power seat control unit connector A (20P): disconnected
SBW shifter control module 20P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power seat control unit connector A (20P) No. 1 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
The ATP-PBK / ATP-P wire is OK. Replace the power seat control unit .
NO
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
