DTC B1C62  : Passenger's heater current abnormal high

NOTE: 

DTC Description DTC
B1C62 Passenger's heater current abnormal high  

DTC (Front Seat Heater Control Unit)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

    -3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
    B1C62 Passenger's heater current abnormal high  

    Is DTC B1C62 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

  2. DTC check 1

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Front passenger's seat heater connector B (2P)

    -2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -3. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    B1C62 Passenger's heater current abnormal high  

    Is DTC B1C62 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Replace the front passenger's seat-back heater .

  3. DTC check 2

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Front passenger's seat heater connector A (4P)

    -2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -3. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    B1C62 Passenger's heater current abnormal high  

    Is DTC B1C62 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 4.

    NO 

    Replace the front passenger's seat cushion heater .

  4. Shorted wire check (AS_H/SEAT_LO_RLY_COM line)

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Front seat heater control unit 24P connector

    -2. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front seat heater control unit 24P connector: disconnected
    Front passenger's seat heater connector A (4P): disconnected
    Test point 1 Front seat heater control unit 24P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?

    YES 

    Replace the front seat heater control unit .

    NO 

    Repair a short in the wire.
