DTC B1129 : Driver's door lock knob switch malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Multiplex Control Unit, Door)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Operate the driver's door lock knob switch several times.
-3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1129 Driver's door lock knob switch malfunction Is DTC B1129 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Determine possible failure area (DR_SILCON_UNLOCK, DR_SILCON_LOCK lines)
-1. With the driver's door lock knob switch in the lock position, check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Driver's Door Lock Knob Switch (UNLOCK) Is the DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) information indicator ON?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Go to step 3.
- Shorted wire check (DR_SILCON_LOCK line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Driver's door latch 10P connector
Power window master switch 37P connector-3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 21 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
The DR_SILCON_LOCK wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
- Shorted wire check (DR_SILCON_UNLOCK line to DR_SILCON_LOCK line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 20 Test point 2 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 21 Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
Faulty driver's door lock knob switch; replace the driver's door latch .
NO
Repair a short in DR_SILCON_UNLOCK wire to DR_SILCON_LOCK wire.
- Shorted wire check (DR_SILCON_UNLOCK line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Driver's door latch 10P connector
Power window master switch 37P connector-3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 20 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
The DR_SILCON_UNLOCK wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 6.
NO
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
- Shorted wire check (DR_SILCON_UNLOCK line to DR_SILCON_LOCK line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnectedTest point 1 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 20 Test point 2 Power window master switch 37P connector No. 21 Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
Faulty driver's door lock knob switch; replace the driver's door latch .
NO
Repair a short in DR_SILCON_UNLOCK wire to DR_SILCON_LOCK wire.
