Removal and Installation

- Fuel Pressure - Relieve
- Air Cleaner - Remove
- Center Cowl Cover - Removal
- Under-Cowl Panel - Remove
- Throttle Body - Move
NOTE: Do not disconnect the water bypass hoses.
- Fuel Bracket - Remove
- Fuel Feed Hose (Fuel Rail Side) - Disconnect
- MAP Sensor - Remove
- Intake Manifold Bracket - Remove
- Intake Manifold - Remove
NOTE: Replace if cracked or if mating surface is damaged.
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:- Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail will be pressurized. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.
- After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
