Removal and Installation

Where icon is shown, further information shown below.
- With auto idle stop system: If the starter is replaced, replace the oil pressure switch and the relay circuit board at the same time.

- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
- Engine Undercover - Remove
- Exhaust Pipe A - Remove
- Positive Starter Cable - Disconnect
Note for installation
Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the starter when you connect the positive starter cable.
- Starter - Remove
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. - Starter Counter - Clear (When the Starter Replaced) (With Auto Idle Stop System)
Starter Counter Clear Procedure NOTE:
- If the starter is replaced, do this procedure.
- Make sure the HDS is loaded with the latest software version.
1. If the starter is replaced, you must replace the the relay circuit board and the oil pressure switch .
2. Connect the HDS to the DLC .
3. Select IDLE STOP STARTER COUNTER CLEAR in Adjustment.
