Cylinder Head Cover Removal and Installation (1.5 L Engine): Removal

Turbocharger Water Return Pipe - Remove

1. Remove the resonator bracket (A).

2. Remove the cylinder head cover heat insulator (B) and the turbocharger water return pipe (C).

Breather Hose, PCV Hose, and Harness Holder - Remove

1. Disconnect the connectors (A).

2. Remove the harness clips (B) and the harness holders (C).

3. Disconnect the breather hose (D) and the PCV hose (E).

NOTE:

(With break head band) Use commercially available cutting pliers as necessary to cut the band off the hose while avoiding damage to the hose.

Turbocharger Bypass Control Valve Solenoid Pipe - Remove

1. Disconnect the hoses (A).

2. Remove the turbocharger bypass control valve solenoid pipe (B).

Cylinder Head Cover - Remove

1. Remove the cylinder head cover (A) and the head cover gasket (B).
