Engine Oil Jet Removal, Installation, and Inspection (1.5 L Engine): Inspection
- Oil Jet - Inspect
1. Make sure that a 1.0 mm (1/32 in) diameter pin will go through the nozzle hole (A) (1.2 mm (0.047 in) diameter).
NOTE:Replace the oil jet, if the nozzle is damaged or bent.
2. Make sure that a 1.8 mm (1/16 in) diameter pin will go through the oil intake (B) (2.0 mm (0.079 in) diameter), and the check ball (C) moves smoothly and has a stroke of about 2.0 mm (0.079 in).
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the check ball.
