Charging System Symptom Troubleshooting Index

NOTE:  If no DTCs are indicated when confirming them with the HDS, the alternator is normal because of multistage control one.

Symptom  Diagnostic procedure  Also check for 
12 volt charging system indicator stays on Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function procedure .  
With OAD pulley: Over-run alternator decoupler (OAD) pulley is making an abnormal noise Check for a broken over-run alternator decoupler (OAD) pulley .
