- Clean the disassembled parts with solvent, then dry the disassembled parts with compressed air. Do not wash the rubber parts with solvent.

- Outer Seal - Remove
- External Snap Ring - Remove
- Intermediate Shaft - Remove
1. Press the intermediate shaft (A) out of the intermediate shaft bearing (B) using the half shaft base and a press.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the bearing support ring (C) on the intermediate shaft during disassembly. - Internal Snap Ring - Remove
- Intermediate Shaft Bearing - Remove
1. Press the intermediate shaft bearing (A) out of the bearing support (B) using the 15 x 135L driver handle, the half shaft base, the 37 x 40 mm bearing driver attachment and a press. 2.4 L engine
- Outer Seal - Remove
- External Snap Ring - Remove
1. Remove the external snap ring (A). - Intermediate Shaft - Remove
1. Press the intermediate shaft (A) out of the intermediate shaft bearing (B) using the half shaft base and a press.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the bearing support ring (C) on the intermediate shaft during disassembly. - Internal Snap Ring - Remove
- Intermediate Shaft Bearing - Remove
1. Press the intermediate shaft bearing (A) out of the bearing support (B) using the 44.5 mm oil seal driver, the half shaft base, and a press.
