How to Temporarily Cancel Automatic Electric Parking Brake: Procedure

NOTE: 

• The electric parking brake on this vehicle has the ability to apply itself once the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode based on the customer's preferences. During certain service procedures, it may be necessary to turn off this function temporarily.
• Refer to the owner's manual for more information on how to turn on or off the automatic parking brake function.

1. Temporary Cancellation

   NOTE:  Before doing this procedure, turn off the ACC function (if equipped) and the automatic brake hold function. 1. Park the vehicle with the vehicle in the ON mode. 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then within 2 seconds pull up the electric parking brake switch.
