Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:

With the connector still disconnected, do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
19*17 BRN*YEL Vehicle ON mode, connect terminals No. 1 and No. 17, and terminals No. 19 and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation: The right power mirror should move LEFT.
  • Faulty right power mirror
  • Poor ground (G401) or an open in the ground wire
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
Vehicle ON mode, connect terminals No. 1 and No. 19, and terminals No. 17 and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation: The right power mirror should move RIGHT.

*1: With mirror defogger

*2: With panoramic glass roof

*3: With moonroof

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
17*18 YEL*LT GRN Connect terminals No. 1 and No. 18, and terminals No. 17 and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation: The right power mirror should move UP.
  • Faulty right power mirror
  • Poor ground (G401) or an open in the ground wire
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
Connect terminals No. 1 and No. 17, and terminals No. 18 and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation: The right power mirror should move DOWN.
23* 1 BLU Vehicle ON mode, connect terminals No. 1 and No. 23 with a jumper wire Check the right power mirror defogger operation: The right power mirror defogger should work (the inside lower edge becomes warm).
  • Faulty right power mirror defogger
  • Poor ground (G401) or an open in the ground wire
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
34 LT BLU Disconnect these connectors:
  • Power window master switch 37P connector
  • Panoramic glass roof motor-control unit 14P connector* 2
  • Moonroof motor-control unit 14P connector* 3
Check for continuity between terminal No. 34 and power window master switch 37P connector terminal No. 36: There should be continuity. An open in the LIN (P/W) wire
Check for continuity between terminal No. 34 and panoramic glass roof motor-control unit 14P connector terminal No. 12: There should be continuity. An open in the LIN(P/W) wire
Check for continuity between terminal No. 34 and moonroof motor-control unit 14P connector terminal No. 12: There should be continuity. An open in the LIN (P/W) wire
Check for continuity to ground: There should be no continuity. A short to ground in the LIN (P/W) wire

*1: With mirror defogger

*2: With panoramic glass roof

*3: With moonroof

5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. Reconnect the connector, and do the following input tests:

NOTE:  After replacing the front passenger's power window switch, do the resetting the power window control unit .

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
1 GRN Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground: There should be battery voltage. An open or high resistance in the wire
3 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground: There should be less than 0.2 V.
  • Poor ground (G401)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
