DTC U1280 (BSI Radar Unit)

DTC U1280  : Communication Bus Line Error (Bus-Off)

NOTE: 

• Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
• If the B-CAN lines problem or BSI radar unit internal circuit malfunction, HDS does not communicate with the BSI radar unit. If DTC U1280 is indicated HDS, the system is OK at this time.

DTC (BSI)

1. BSI radar unit connector check

   -1. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the BSI radar unit 6P connector.

   Is the BSI radar unit 6P connector OK?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Repair or reconnect the connector securely.

2. BSI radar unit check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.

   U1280 Communication bus line error (BUS-OFF)
   U1280 Communication bus line error (BUS-OFF)

   Does the HDS communicate with the BSI radar unit?

   YES 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .

   NO 

   Go to the multiplex integrated control system general troubleshooting . If the symptom is still present, replace the appropriate BSI radar unit .
