Cruise control cannot be set (Cruise Control)

Diagnostic procedure 

• Check the PGM-FI system .
• Check the No. D21 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
• Do the cruise control combination switch test .
• Do the cruise control input test .

Also check for 

• Open circuit, loose or disconnected terminals: wires between the cruise control combination switch and the gauge control module
• Faulty gauge control module
• Faulty cable reel
