Removal and Installation

NOTE:

Tighten the turbocharger/bracket mounting bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.

	Replace
*1	With break head band

Turbocharger Joint - Remove

NOTE: (With break head band) Use commercially available cutting pliers as necessary to cut the band off the hose while avoiding damage to the hose.

Note for installation (with break head band):

When installing a new break head band, do the following procedures.

1. Tighten the break head bolt until the bolt head (A) is twisted off completely.

NOTE:

Do not use an air tool.

2. Make sure the stopper end (B) contacts to the housing end (C) after tightening the break head bolt.

Turbocharger and Bracket - Remove

1. Remove the turbocharger (A).

NOTE:

Do not hold the wastegate control valve rod (B) and the turbocharger wastegate control actuator (C).

2. Remove the bracket (D).

Oil Return Pipe - Remove
Water Pipe - Remove
All Removed Parts - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Hose Band - Precaution
Note for installation

NOTE: Make sure the end of the hose band (A) is at or within the hash mark (B) on the hose band after the parts are installed.
