DTC P1A48, P1A49, P1A4A (A/T)

DTC P1A48  : TCM Internal Malfunction (SBW Different Run)DTC P1A49  : TCM Internal Malfunction (SBW Parking Position)DTC P1A4A  : TCM Internal Malfunction (SBW Display Position)

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .

DTC (A/T)

1. Problem verification

   -1. Raise the vehicle on a lift. Make sure it is securely supported, and allow all four wheels to rotate freely.

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   -3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   -4. Start the engine.

   -5. While pressing the brake pedal, wait for several seconds in all positions/modes.

   -6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   Is DTC P1A48, P1A49, or P1A4A indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals at the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
