DTC (A/T)
- Problem verification
-1. Raise the vehicle on a lift. Make sure it is securely supported, and allow all four wheels to rotate freely.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-4. Start the engine, disable the VSA .
-5. Run the vehicle from 1st gear to 2nd gear, then slow down and stop the vehicle.
-6. While pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission to R position/mode.
-7. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P084C Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch B Circuit Low P084D Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch B Circuit High Is DTC P084C or P084D indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good TCM , then recheck. If this DTC goes away and the TCM was substituted, replace the original TCM .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals between the transmission fluid pressure switch and the TCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
