DTC U0402-68 (Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit)

DTC U0402-68  : PCM/TCM Malfunction

NOTE:  If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit)

1. A/T system/CVT system DTC check

   -1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   A/T 

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame

   CVT 

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame

   Are any DTCs indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the troubleshooting for A/T system DTC (s) .

   YES 

   Go to the troubleshooting for CVT system DTC (s) .

   NO 

   Go to step 2.

2. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

   -3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

   -4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   U0402-68 PCM/TCM malfunction

   Is DTC U0402-68 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated. Check for poor connections or loose terminals in the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the parking and back-up sensor control unit .

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
