Roof Opening Panel Operating Cable and Guide: Removal

- 1.
Remove the headliner. REFER to: Headliner .
- 2.
On both sides, remove the front lifter arm. REFER to: Front Lifter Arm - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.
- 3.
Remove both roof opening panel glass motors. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Motor - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.
- 4.NOTE: The header panel does not need repair after service.NOTE: If using original threaded retainers, clean the thread locking adhesive from threads, then apply new thread locking adhesive.
On both sides. Remove the cable housing tube bracket retainers. Carefully cut and discard the header panel section.
Material
: Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)
Torque
: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
- 5.NOTE: All drive and return tubes must be repositioned in the original positions during installation.
Mark all cable housing tubes with clip/retainer locations and transfer to new cable housings for proper installation. Detach the cable housing tubes from the clip/retainers.
- 6.NOTE: Header panel removed for clarity.
