Roof Opening Panel Drain Cup: Removal

1.

Remove the roof opening panel glass. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Glass - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.

2.

On both sides, remove the A-pillar trim panel. REFER to: A-Pillar Trim Panel .

3.

Detach the wire harness retainers.

4.

Remove the interior rear view mirror. REFER to: Interior Rear View Mirror .

5.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

6.

On both sides, remove the B-pillar trim panel. REFER to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .

7.

On both sides, remove the C-pillar upper trim panel. REFER to: C-Pillar Upper Trim Panel .

8.

Remove the C-pillar lower trim panel. REFER to: C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel .

9.

On both sides. Remove the screw, detach the pin-type retainers and clips, route the seatbelt through the trim panel and remove the trim panel.

On both sides. Remove the sun visor.

  Remove the cap.

  Release the clip.

  Remove the sun visor.

  Disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE: The headliner only needs to be lowered for access. All retainers shown in illustration including the rear with guide pins are magnets.

Carefully release the seven magnets and two guide pins and magnets.

NOTE: For access to remove drain cup, break off the cable housing tube retaining clip and stud.

  Remove cable housing tube bracket retainers.

  Disconnect the cable housing tube bracket and roof opening panel drain hose.

  Detach the cable housing tubes from the retaining clip and then break off the cable housing tube retaining clip and stud.

NOTE: Pry the drain cup loose from above the vehicle, remove from inside the vehicle.

Using a screw driver, remove the roof opening panel drain cup.

Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
