Panoramic Roof Opening Panel Trim: Removal

NOTE: This procedure can be used for all locations of the component.

1.

NOTE: The roof opening panel glass must be open to service the front trim panel and must be closed to service the side trim panel.

NOTE: Front trim panel shown in illustration (includes seal), rear trim panel similar (without seal).
1. 1.
  
  Firmly grasp trim and pull outward.
1. 2.
  
  Lift outside edge of trim.
1. 3.
  
  Roll inside edge of trim back in and up.
1. 4.
  
  NOTE: The rear trim panels only need replaced if damaged in the clip retention area.
  
  Front only , replace front trim panel with new, and if necessary remove seal portion of trim from vehicle.

NOTE: The rear trim panel only has 5 clips.
1. 1.
  
  Inspect the clips for damage.
1. 2.
  
  Mark and replace clips only if necessary.
  Torque
  
  : 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
1. 3.
  
  Seal area.

NOTE: A new front trim panel outer clip will need to be trimmed as shown in illustration.

On the front outside retaining clip only , if the outside of the retaining clip is the same as the inside of the clip, trim the outside off as shown in illustration.
