Front Lifter Arm: Removal

- 1.
Remove the roof opening panel glass. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Glass - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.
- 2.
Remove both roof opening panel glass motors. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Motor - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.
- 3.
On both sides, remove the A-pillar trim panel. REFER to: A-Pillar Trim Panel .
- 5.
Remove the interior rear view mirror. REFER to: Interior Rear View Mirror .
- 7.
Remove the B-pillar trim panel. REFER to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .
- 8.
Remove the C-pillar upper trim panel. REFER to: C-Pillar Upper Trim Panel .
- 9.
Remove the C-pillar lower trim panel. REFER to: C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel .
- 10.NOTE: RH side shown in illustration, LH side similar.
Remove the screw, detach the pin-type retainers and clips, route the seatbelt through the trim panel and remove the trim panel.

Remove the sun visors.
- 1.
Remove the cap.
- 2.
Release the clip.
- 3.
Remove the sun visor.
- 4.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the retainer and the sun visor clip.
- 13.NOTE: The headliner only needs to be lowered for access. All retainers including the rear with guide pins are magnets.
Release the seven magnets and two guide pins and magnets.
- 14.NOTE: If using original threaded retainers, clean the thread locking adhesive from threads, then apply new thread locking adhesive.
Remove the front cam retainers.
Material
: Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)
Torque
: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
- 17.NOTE: Air deflector may need to be held down in the closed position.
Air deflector removed for clarity.
- 1.
Rotate the front lifter arm link.
- 2.
Remove the front lifter arm.
- 3.
Disassemble the front lifter arm.
