Pinpoint Test H : The One-Touch Feature Is Inoperative

- H1 INITIALIZE THE ROOF OPENING PANEL
- Attempt to initialize the roof opening panel, and then verify proper one-touch operation.
Does the roof opening panel one-touch feature operate?
Yes The system is operating normally at this time. The roof opening panel motor was not initialized. No GO to H2 - H2 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH WITH THE SWITCH NOT PRESSED OR SQUEEZED TOGETHER
- Disconnect the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch connector.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Anti-pinch switch connector, component side-1 Anti-pinch switch connector, component side-2
Is the resistance between 2130 and 2607 ohms?
Yes GO to H3 No INSTALL a new anti-pinch switch. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Anti-Pinch Switch - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel. - H3 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH WITH THE SWITCH PRESSED OR SQUEEZED TOGETHER
- Press the anti-pinch switch while testing the resistance value below.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Anti-pinch switch connector, component side-1 Anti-pinch switch connector, component side-2
Is the resistance between 40 and 60 ohms?
Yes GO to H4 No INSTALL a new anti-pinch switch. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Anti-Pinch Switch - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel. - H4 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE PRIMARY MOTOR AND THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect the roof opening panel primary motor connector.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Roof opening panel primary motor connector-5 Ground Roof opening panel primary motor connector-2 Ground
Is there any voltage?
Yes REPAIR the circuit(s) as necessary. No GO to H5 - H5 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE PRIMARY MOTOR AND THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH A SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Roof opening panel primary motor connector-5 Ground Roof opening panel primary motor connector-2 Ground
Are the resistances greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to H6 No REPAIR the circuit(s) as necessary. - Measure:
- H6 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE PRIMARY MOTOR AND THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH FOR AN OPEN
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Roof opening panel primary motor connector-5 Anti-pinch switch connector, harness side-2 Roof opening panel primary motor connector-2 Anti-pinch switch connector, harness side-1
Are the resistances less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to H7 No REPAIR the circuit(s) as necessary. - Measure:
- H7 CHECK THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE PRIMARY MOTOR AND THE ANTI-PINCH SWITCH FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Roof opening panel primary motor connector-5 Roof opening panel primary motor connector-2
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes REPLACE the roof opening panel primary motor. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Motor - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel. No REPAIR the circuit(s) as necessary. - Measure:
