Pinpoint Test B : The Roof Opening Panel Leaks: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

When the roof opening panel glass is completely closed, it is flush with the roof panel. The roof opening panel seals provide a seal against adverse weather conditions such as rain and wind, preventing them from entering the passenger compartment. A damaged, deformed or incorrectly installed seal is unable to seal the glass efficiently. The roof opening panel trough assembly, drain cups and drain hoses provide a route for water to drain away from the opening panel, damaged or obstructed drain hoses, drain cups or trough assembly will allow water to collect and possibly leak into the passenger compartment.
