Panoramic Roof Opening Panel

The panoramic roof opening panel is comprised of the following subsystems which allow the driver to control the configuration of the vehicle's roof.
- Air deflector
- Roof opening panel control switch
- Roof opening panel anti-pinch switch
- Roof opening panel frame
- Roof opening panel glass
- Front lifter arms
- Rear lifter arms
- 2 roof opening panel motors (primary and secondary)
- Roof opening panel cable and guide assembly
- Roof opening panel shield
- Roof opening panel shield motor
- Roof opening panel shield cable and guide assembly
- Roof opening panel drain hoses
- Rear window glass
- Front and rear trim panels
- Various seals
The panoramic roof opening panel provides occupant control of the amount outside light and air entering through the roof. The roof opening panel switch assembly controls all functions of the system. A global open/close feature when available is controlled by the BCM.
The roof opening panel motors must be initialized when repairs are carried out on any part of the roof opening panel system or when the roof opening panel motor, glass, assembly, or air deflector has been removed or replaced for any reason.
