Exterior Lights Symptom Troubleshooting - LED headlight does not go off

LED headlight does not go off 

1. Combination light switch OFF position check

   -1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) .

   -2. Turn the combination light switch OFF.

   -3. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

   Signal	Threshold		Current conditions
   	Values	Unit	Values	Unit
   Headlight Switch (HEADLIGHT)	OFF

   Is data list values correct?

   YES 

   Go to step 4.

   NO 

   Go to step 2.

2. Combination light switch check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -2. Do the combination light switch test .

   Is the switch OK?

   YES 

   Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Replace the combination light switch .

3. Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)

   -1. Disconnect the following connectors.

   Combination light switch 12P connectorBody control module connector C (28P)Automatic lighting control unit-sensor 5P connector

   -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) modeCombination light switch 12P connector: disconnectedBody control module connector C (28P): disconnectedAutomatic lighting control unit-sensor 5P connector: disconnect
   Test point 1	Combination light switch 12P connector (female terminals) No. 7:
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to ground in the wire.

   NO 

   The H/L ON SW wire is OK. Replace the body control module .

4. Headlight low beam relay check

   -1. Do the headlight low beam relay test .

   Is the headlight relay OK?

   YES 

   Go to step 5.

   NO 

   Replace the headlight low beam relay.

5. Shorted wire check (H/L LO RLY CL- line)

   -1. Disconnect the following connector.

   Body control module connector B (36P)

   -2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) modeHeadlight low beam relay: disconnectedBody control module connector B (36P): disconnected
   Test point 1	Body control module connector B (36P) No. 24
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to ground in the wire.

   NO 

   Repair a short to power in the wire.
