ACC INDICATOR DOES NOT GO OFF (WITHOUT Auto Idle Stop System) (2016 2017 2018)

  1. DTCs check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait for 5 seconds.

    - 2. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Are any DTCs indicated?

    YES 

    Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Go to: How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2016 2017 2018) .

    NO 

    Go to step 2.

  2. IDAS system DTCs check

    -1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame
         

    Are any DTCs indicated?

    YES 

    Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Go to: How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2016 2017 2018) .

    NO 

    Go to step 3.

  3. Fuse check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Check the following fuse.

    Fuse No. C28 (10 A)
    Location Under-dash fuse/relay box

    Is the fuse OK?

    YES 

    The fuse is OK. Reinstall the fuse, then go to step 4.

    NO 

    Replace the fuse. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then the OFF (LOCK) mode. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to ground on the No. C28 (10 A) fuse circuit.

  4. Gauge control module operation check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Check if all of the gauge indicators come on for a few seconds.

    Do all the gauge indicators on?

    YES 

    Go to step 5.

    NO 

    Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function - Go to: Gauges Control Module Self-Diagnostic Function (2016 2017 2018) .

  5. Open wire check (IG1 OPTION line) 1

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

    Millimeter wave radar 10P connector

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    Millimeter wave radar 10P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Millimeter wave radar 10P connector terminal No. 5
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES 

    The IG1 OPTION wire is OK. Go to step 6.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the millimeter wave radar and the under-dash fuse/relay box.

  6. Open wire check (IG1 METER (DC/DC) line) 2

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Reconnect the following connector.

    Millimeter wave radar 10P connector

    - 3. Disconnect the following connector.

    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector

    - 4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 5. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector No. 19 - Refer to:
    Multipurpose Camera Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES 

    Go to step 7.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box and the multipurpose camera unit.

  7. Open wire check (+B BACKUP line)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector No. 10 - Refer to:
    Multipurpose Camera Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES 

    Go to step 8.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box and the multipurpose camera unit.

  8. Open wire check (GND line)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Check for continuity between the following test points and body ground individually.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector No. 14 - Refer to:
    Multipurpose Camera Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Go to step 9.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the multipurpose camera unit and body ground at G501.

  9. Open wire check (F-CAN_L, F-CAN_H lines)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector
    Gauge control module 32P connector

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector: disconnected
    Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector No. 13 - Refer to:
    Multipurpose Camera Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 25 - Refer to:
    Gauge Control Module Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 1 Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector No. 2 - Refer to:
    Multipurpose Camera Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .
    Test point 2 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 24 - Refer to:
    Gauge Control Module Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018) .

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the multipurpose camera unit 20P connector. If they are OK, replace the Multipurpose Camera - Unit Removal and Installation .

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the multipurpose camera unit.
