Shift Lever Knob and Shift Lever Knob Cover Replacement

NOTE:
Do not wipe off the special grease applied to the area of the shift lever marked with an asterisk (*) when you disassemble or assemble it.
- Pull down the shift lever ring (A).
- Wrap the end of a flat-tip screwdriver (B) with tape, pry the shift lever knob cover lock tabs, then remove the shift lever knob cover (C).
- Remove the D3 switch (A) by expanding the lock tabs (B) from the shift lever knob (C).
- Remove the screws (D), then remove the shift lever knob.
- Replace the shift lever knob or the shift lever knob cover.
- Install the shift lever knob over the shift lever.
- Secure the shift lever knob with new screws.
- Install the D3 switch in the shift lever knob.
- Pull down the shift lever ring if necessary, and install the shift lever knob cover. Then pull up the shift lever ring to secure the knob cover.
