Audio system information does not display on the audio display-USB adapter control unit (without navigation, with USB adapter)

NOTE:
  • Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
  • Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
  1. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at audio display-USB adapter control unit connector A (32P) and audio unit connector B (20P).

Are the connections or terminals OK?

    YES  -Go to step 2.

NO  -Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  3. Measure the voltage between body ground and audio display-USB adapter control unit connector A (32P) terminals No. 16 and No. 32 individually.

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES  -Go to step 4.

NO  -If the +B wire does not have voltage, repair an open in the wire between the No. B15 (20 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and the audio display-USB adapter control unit. If the ACC wire does not have voltage, repair an open in the wire between the No. C13 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and the audio display-USB adapter control unit.

  4. Measure the voltage between audio display-USB adapter control unit connector A (32P) terminal No. 15 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.2 V?

    YES  -Go to step 5.

NO  -Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the audio display-USB adapter control unit and body ground (G501) (see AUDIO WIRE HARNESS (WITH NAVIGATION) (I) ).

  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  6. Disconnect audio display-USB adapter control unit connector A (32P) and audio unit connector B (20P).
  7. Check for continuity between audio unit connector B (20P) and audio display-USB adapter control unit connector A (32P) according to the table.
