Rear Side Trim Panel

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim or the panels.
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
  1. Remove these items:
  2. Remove the clip from the lower area of the trim panel (A).

  3. Pry out the covers (A), and remove the bolts (B), then remove the tie down hooks (C) (two places).

  4. Pry out the lid (A), and remove the screw, then release the retaining hooks (B). Remove the cargo net hook (C) from the rear side trim panel (D).

  5. Open the cargo hook (A). Pry out the cover (B), and remove the bolt.

  6. Pull out the front upper edge of the rear side trim panel (A) by hand to release the tabs (B) and the hooks (C) from the C-pillar trim (D).

  7. Pull out the rear upper edge of the rear side trim panel (A) by hand to release the tabs (B) and the hooks (C) from the D-pillar trim (D).

  8. Pull the rear side trim panel (A) back by hand to detach the clips. On the right side, disconnect the rear accessory power socket connector (B).

    Left side

  9. Pull up the rear side trim panel (A), then remove it.

  10. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Make sure the accessory power socket connector is plugged in properly.
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips, hooks and tabs into place securely.
