Parking And Back-Up Sensor System Description - Overview (2017)

The parking and back-up sensor system measures distances to objects by transmitting ultrasonic waves and receiving the echo from sound waves bouncing off nearby objects. It informs drivers of nearby objects with audible warning signals as well as visual messages through the multi-information display (MID) in the gauge control module.
