Differential Carrier/Final Driven Gear Replacement
- Remove the carrier bearings (see CARRIER BEARING REPLACEMENT
).
- Remove the final driven gear (A) from the differential carrier (B), and replace the differential carrier or the final driven gear. The final driven gear bolts have left-hand threads.

- Install the final driven gear in the direction shown on the differential carrier.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in a crisscross pattern in at least two or three steps.
- Install the carrier bearings (see CARRIER BEARING REPLACEMENT
).
