Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement: Removal

NOTE:
  • Removal of the front passenger's weight sensor must be done according to precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES  ).
  • The front passenger's weight sensor are part of the seat track and must be replaced as an assembly.
  1. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the front passenger's seat (see HEAD RESTRAINT TRIM REPLACEMENT ).
  3. Disconnect the front passenger's weight sensor connectors (A), then detach the clip (B).

  4. Remove the TORX bolts (C) using a TORX T40 bit, then remove the front passenger's weight sensor assembly (D).
  5. Detach the clips(A).

  6. Remove the nuts (B) and the bracket (C).
