Driver's Airbag Replacement: Removal

  1. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the access panel (A) from the steering wheel, then disconnect the driver's airbag inflator 4P connector (B).

  3. Disconnect the horn switch 1P connector (C).
  4. Remove the two TORX bolts (A) using a TORX T30 bit.

  5. Remove the driver's airbag (B).
