Cowl Cover Replacement: Notes

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program, 888-424-6857

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts.

Pull out the hood rear seal (A) as needed. Detach the hooks (B), then remove the wiper pivot cover (C).

Remove the windshield wiper arms (see WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT ).
Detach the clips with a clip remover from the cowl cover (A), then disconnect the windshield washer tube (B).

Detach the clips and the hooks (A) by carefully pulling the windshield side edge of the cowl cover (B) upward, and release the forward hooks (C) by pulling the cowl cover forward, then remove the cover.
NOTE: If you are only removing the cowl cover, go to step 8. If you are doing further disassembly, proceed to step 5.
