Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement

NOTE: Be careful not to scratch or damage the hatch.
  1. Remove the wiper arm (see WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT  ).
  2. Remove the cap (A) and the mounting nut (B).

  3. Open the hatch, and remove the hatch lower trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HATCH AREA ).
  4. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the rear window wiper motor (B).

  5. Remove the three bolts and the rear window wiper motor.
  6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Grease the moving parts.
    • Before reinstalling the wiper arm, turn the rear window wiper switch ON, then OFF to return the wiper shaft to the park position.
    • Check the wiper motor operation.
    • Align the position marks when installing the seal (C).
