Outside Air Temperature Indicator Calibration: Troubleshooting

If the indicator displays "---" for more than 2 seconds after selecting the outside air temperature display mode, it means that the gauge control module is not receiving outside air temperature data from the HVAC control unit/climate control unit via the B-CAN communication bus. Check for and resolve all B-CAN related DTCs, then check the climate control system or multiplex integrated control system for DTCs (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).
