DTC B1160: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the Door Multiplex Control Unit (DRLOCKSW Message)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
- Wait for 6 seconds or more.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1160 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure. The gauge control module is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1006 and B1058 also indicated?
YES - Go to door multiplex control unit input test (see DOOR MULTIPLEX CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST ).
NO - Go to gauge control module input test (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST ).
