Air Dam: Service and Repair
Front Air Dam ReplacementNOTE: Take care not to scratch the front bumper.
1. Remove the front air dam as shown.
2. Install the front air dam in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Before installing the air dam, clean the front bumper bonding surface with alcohol, and apply primer.
- If the old air dam will be reinstalled, scrape off the double-sided adhesive tape, then clean the air dam surface with alcohol where adhesive tape will be applied. Attach the new double-sided adhesive tape to the air dam.
- Before installing the air dam, fold the edge of the adhesive backing from the double-sided adhesive tape. After installing the air dam, carefully pull the adhesive backing away.
