TITLE: Engine Falters, No Power, Won't Rev Over 7,000 RPM

SERVICE TIP:

To protect the engine in a '00-05 S2000 from wear and damage, the ECM limits the engine speed to 7,000 rpm until the engine coolant reaches its normal operating temperature. This is the same fuel cutoff function that prevents damage if you red-line the engine. There's nothing you can do to change it; it's just a design characteristic of the S2000.
