Removal & Installation (Except Si Hatchback)

1. Remove the brake drum and brake shoes. See REAR BRAKE SHOES . Disconnect the parking brake cable from the brake shoe. See Fig 1.
2. On all models, remove the flange bolts and parking brake cable from the backing plate.
3. Reinstall the parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the parking brake. See ADJUSTMENTS .
