Removal & Installation (Civic - Si & Hatchback & CR-V)

Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  . Remove master cylinder brake lines from brake line clip. Remove vacuum hose from brake booster. Remove clip and joint pin, and disconnect yoke from brake pedal. Remove brake booster mounting nuts. Remove brake booster from engine compartment. Be careful not to damage booster surfaces and threads of booster stud bolts. Be careful not to bend or damage brake lines. Install booster in reverse order of removal. Check length of pushrod. See MASTER CYLINDER PUSHROD  under ADJUSTMENTS. Install power brake booster. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed system as necessary. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
