Removal & Installation (Insight)

Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER . Disconnect battery cables, and remove battery from battery box. Remove 6 flange bolts and battery box. See Fig 1 . Remove two 6 mm flange bolts, and detach fuel line/hose from battery box bracket. See Fig 2 . Remove flange bolts. Remove clip and joint pin in passenger compartment. Remove brake booster mounting flange nuts. Raise front of battery box bracket, and pull out brake booster from engine compartment. See Fig 3 . Install booster in reverse order of removal. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

NOTE: Bolts and nuts with the "*" mark are special corrosion resistant Darco fasteners. Use same type if replacement is necessary.
