Removal & Installation (Civic - Except Si & Hatchback)
Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER . Disconnect vacuum hose from power brake booster. Remove air conditioner hose and power steering hose from respective holders. Remove flange bolts and throttle cable holder. Remove brake lines from ABS modulator. See Fig 1 . Remove under dash cover and fuse/relay box in passenger's compartment. Remove clip and joint pin, and disconnect yoke from brake pedal. Remove brake booster mounting flange nuts. Remove booster from engine compartment. Install booster in reverse order of removal. Check length of pushrod. See MASTER CYLINDER PUSHROD under ADJUSTMENTS. Install power brake booster. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed system as necessary. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
