Gauge Assembly Replacement

NOTE: For '06-09 models before replacing the gauge assembly, do the "Rewriting the ODO Data and Transferring the Maintenance Minder Data to a New Gauge assembly" (see REWRITING THE ODO DATA AND TRANSFERRING THE MAINTENANCE MINDER DATA TO A NEW GAUGE ASSEMBLY ).
  1. Lower the steering column, and remove the driver's airbag, the steering wheel, the steering column covers, the cable reel, and the combination switch assembly (see STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  2. Remove the instrument panel (see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the screws (A) from the gauge assembly (B), and spread a protective cloth (C) on the steering column.

  4. Disconnect the connectors (D), and remove the gauge assembly.
    NOTE: '04-09 models only have two connectors.
  5. Remove the screws and the gauge assembly brackets (A).

  6. Install the gauge assembly in the reverse order of removal.
