Front Disc Brake Pads: Removal

Remove the brake hose bracket mounting bolts (A) from the damper. See Fig 1 .

Remove the bolt (B) and pivot the caliper (C) up out of the way. Check the hose, pin boot, and sleeve boots for damage and deterioration. See Fig 1 .

Remove the pad shim (A), pad retainers (B), and inner (C) and outer (D) pad. See Fig 2 .
Clean the caliper thoroughly; The caliper is aluminum check for cracks.
Check the brake disc for damage and cracks.
